Blueprint

Blueprint is an exclusive program available to DePaul students interested in entrepreneurship. Bringing you the best in resources, connections, opportunities, mentorship and advice, Blueprint ensures you take steps necessary to reach success.

What we do

Here at the Coleman Center, we provide current undergraduate and graduate DePaul students from across the university the support, encouragement, and resources they need to become a part of Chicago’s booming entrepreneurial community, as well as, successfully launch and grow entrepreneurial businesses, non-profits, and social ventures.

At the Coleman Center, we understand everyone’s level of interest in entrepreneurship varies. That’s why Blueprint is customizable to your needs. Whether you’re just interested in connecting with Chicago’s startup community, or are ready to get aggressive with starting your own business, Blueprint has the answers and will be there every step of the way.

How to participate in Blueprint

Attend a Blueprint Information Session

To make sure we provide you with what you need, everyone interested in participating in Blueprint should attend an information session held once a month. This session clearly outlines what Blueprint has to offer you, and based on your level of commitment, what you can expect to accomplish.

Schedule an eMeet

Once you’ve attended an information session and would like to move forward, schedule an eMeet, a one-on-one meeting with one of our Coleman Center advisors. Through an informal evaluation, our advisors will be able to direct you on a track that best meets your needs.

Begin your eJourney

The Coleman Center has three, customized tracks for students interested in entrepreneurship. Based on your eMeet, we'll be able to direct you to the one that best serves your needs.

The three tracks are:

eThink: This student typically comes to the Coleman Center saying, "I like the idea of entrepreneurship, but I'm not sure where I fit in." Rest assured, the Coleman Center will introduce you to Chicago's startup community and provide you resources necessary to evolve to the next step.

eTeam: This student generally comes to the Coleman Center saying, "I want to bring my entrepreneurial talents to an established company." From internship opportunities to competitions to student organizations and events, we'll be sure to equip you with everything you need to quench your thirst for entrepreneurial activity.

eLaunch: This student typically comes to the Coleman Center saying, "I have a business or would like to start a business." This track requires the highest level of commitment and interaction with the Coleman Center. We're talking more than business plans. Work with us every step of the way, from idea generation to viable product, investment to business development--ultimately creating a fully-functioning business. Also, Blueprint members on the eLaunch track will be designated a mentor.
